Kathy Retzlaff has been administrator of Blue Valley Care 

 Home since January 2003.  Having a Master's Degree in  

Human Nutrition from UNL, Kathy worked for BVLH as a registered dietician since 1977.  Kathy and husband  

Roger live in Hebron and have 5 children and 

 3 grandchildren.  In addition Kathy is a retired

Linda Raney is Care Home Activity Director. Linda has lived in Alexandria, Ne. all her life. She graduated from Meridian Public Schools. Linda had a daycare for 27 years in Alexandria before coming to work for BVLH at the Care Home.  She married David Raney 31 years ago.  David works for the Union Pacific Railroad. They have three children, one son and two daughters and 2 granddaughters. Linda enjoys being with her husband, traveling whenever they can, getting together with their family.  Their granddaughters Gabby and Karina keep them very busy. Linda also enjoys doing embroidery and reading in her spare time.

Carole Muehling has been the Director of Nursing at the Care Home since January 1992.  Prior to BVLH, Carole worked in hospital settings in Omaha and Geneva.  Carole and her husband Loren live in Bruning.

Care Home Social Services Director is Melissa Sasse.  Melissa has always lived in Thayer County except while attended college.  She began working at BVCH as a nurse aide during college in 1989.  After graduating from Doane College with a Bachelor's in psychology and sociology in 1992, Melissa became the Social Services Director at the Care Home.  Melissa, husband Galen, and son Matthew live on a farm near Deshler.  Over the years she has enjoyed meeting a variety of residents.  Contact Melissa at 402-768-3935 or email melissas@bvlh.org
