In 2007, management and staff of Blue Valley Lutheran Homes began the process to improve the assisted living opportunity available to this area. 

They envisioned a facility in which each resident or couple has all the freedom and mobility they have been accustomed to, but offers a helping hand if needed. 

In August of 2009 Courtyard Terrace Senior Living Facility was opened.
